VELACHERY— A boy living on the streets in Besant Nagar has received sponsorship for his studies, thanks to Velachery-based startup, Vajra Global.

Mohammed Jamir, 16, lives on the pavement with his family, and has done very well in his Class 10 exams. He dreams of going to college. His father appealed to the Senior Citizens Group of Besant Nagar (SCGOBN), who sent out an appeal for supporting the boy’s education.

Ganapathy Sankarabaaham, chief executive of Vajra Global, responded and has also assured that the company will sponsor his studies through college. Vajra Global is a digital marketing services agency.
