In an inspection at food outlets at Phoenix Market City, officials of the State Legal Metrology Department found that soft drinks were being sold at nearly double the MRP.
The inspection followed a series of complaints received by the office. Officials seized the bottles as evidence. The department has advised citizens that they can report MRP and weights and measures discrepancies on the free app, TN-LMCTS.
