Rain raises a stink

VELACHERY/TARAMANI: Come rains, and waterlogging is not the only problem in Velachery. As any commuter of MRTS from Velachery knows, the stink of overflowing sewage becomes unbearable. Large parts of Kallu Kuttai Eri in Taramani, and what is remaining of the Velachery Lake get inundated by sewage.

Residents allege that untreated sewage is being dumped on to the lake and nearby areas.
